Basic Fieldcraft and Survival 1
The Basic Fieldcraft and Survival 1 course is the first of a series brought us by our visiting instructor from Wolverine Survival. This course will focus on the basics of patrolling principles and to discuss with the participants choices in gear and equipment. We will focus on practicality, necessities and load management. We would like for each participant to bring what they consider to be their own 72 hour field pack. This gear should be packed in a serviceable and comfortable to carry ruck or civilian style backpack. Participants will need either a small tarp or individual poncho so we can do a group lay out. You should be dressed for a moderate level of activity. We want everyone to have a full understanding of what it means to carry their choices on their back.
We respectfully ask that you read the Australian Cadet Corp publication linked below. https://auscadet.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/cadet-instructors-handbook-field-craft.pdf
