Are you new to AR15 style rifles or other similar semiautomatic fighting rifles? This introductory rifle course is for you. AR15s are America's most popular rifle. Since many people are new to understanding the general operation of the rifle and the accessories and gear required to employ the AR15 rifle as a system, we have designed this course to help people understand their AR15. This course will cover maintenance, the minimum accessories required to employ the rifle such as iron sights, optical sights, slings, weapon mounted lights, and magazines. This course will also cover the basic shooting positions in standing, kneeling, and prone. The course discusses zeroing the rifle and understanding the external ballistics of different types of AR15 ammunition. The shooting drills which include shooting from ready positions in close quarters (50 yards or less), loading, and clearing malfunctions are designed to bring a new shooter with an AR15 up to speed to prepare them for home defense or our Rifle Response course.


*Note- We HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving us a call prior to signing up for this course to make sure your rifle has all the components needed to complete the course.

  • Open minded disposition
  • A Combat Rifle (AR15/M16/M4) or other equivalent autoloading magazine fed rifle

  • Eye Protection - Prescription glasses or sunglasses can be used.
  • Ear Protection - Ear plugs or muffs. We do have plugs for people that forget.
